More About Me

Joanna Bonfanti

Joanna Clary Bonfanti is a proud seventh-generation Floridian hailing from Destin. Growing up on the Emerald Coast, she witnessed the remarkable transformation of what was once a quaint fishing village. After graduating from Fort Walton Beach High School in 1998, Joanna pursued higher education at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in business.

In 2002, Joanna returned to Florida to attend the Florida State University College of Law, graduating in 2004. It was there that she met her husband, Mark Bonfanti, a fellow law student from Salem, New Hampshire. The couple married on October 1, 2005, at the charming Seaside Chapel and began their professional journeys in Tallahassee.

For over 15 years, Joanna excelled as a lobbyist, advocating for clients before the Florida legislature and executive agencies. In 2018, she and Mark relocated back to Destin, where Joanna shifted her focus to real estate, obtaining her real estate license in 2020.

Joanna remains passionate about public policy and Florida politics, but her greatest joy comes from family life. She and Mark are the proud parents of two daughters, Lucy and Caroline, who adore beach living. The Bonfanti family also shares their home with two beloved dogs: Winnie, an English Bulldog, and Remy, a French Bulldog.
